2008

February 15, 2008 - International Public Organization "International Foundation "Mutual Understanding and Tolerance " is registered

IPO “IF “Mutual Understanding and Tolerance"  was founded in Ukraine at the initiative and collaboration of Germany, Russia, Ukraine with the purpose of unification the citizens of Ukraine and citizens of other states to improve social protection of citizens who were suffered during World War II from National Socialism, veterans and victims of war, military conflicts and totalitarian regimes, strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation among nations, tolerance of society. As co-founders of the Foundation were joined the Byelorussia.

 2009

IPO “IF “Mutual Understanding and Tolerance" starts to realize the humanitarian projects:

- medical and social humanitarian project for former Soviet prisoners, the Ukrainian citizens, who were suffered during World War II, at the expense of money given by German union of contacts with the countries of the former Soviet Union "Kontakte - Контакти" e.V.;

- humanitarian Project "Ivankiv studio of documentary theater" at the expense of money from the German Federal Foundation "Memory, Responsibility and Future" in the context of the program "Place of a meeting – Dialogue”;

- humanitarian Project

Foundation Management is carrying out the search and arranging the contacts with a variety of organizations engaged in charitable activities on behalf of citizens who were suffered during the Second World War from National Socialism, veterans and victims of war, military conflicts and other totalitarian regimes.

 2010

In 2010 on the occasion of 65th anniversary of the end of Second World War the IPO “IF “Mutual Understanding and Tolerance" activity will be carried out on the following thematic areas:

- preservation of the historical memory;

- medical and social assistance for the victims of former slave labour of National Socialism and the former Soviet war prisoners.
